Established as a Rehabilitation Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) with registration number 284 by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology on July 4, 2012, the Zone completed its rehabilitation requirements on October 11, 2013, and transformed into a fully authorized OSB.
The Regional Directorate operates in the Corlu Chamber of Commerce and Industry Service Building, located at Zafer Mahallesi Sehitler Caddesi No: 6.
There are 41 companies operating in the region in the fields of Textiles, Food, Plastics, Construction Chemicals, Construction Paints, Printing-Packaging, Metal, Corrugated Cardboard, Metal Goods, Machinery Manufacturing, Cables, etc., employing 4,800 people.
In the region, where imports amount to 79 million TL, exports reach 200 million TL.
The Corlu 1 Organized Industrial Zone is located north of Tekirdag, within the municipal boundaries of Corlu district, Tekirdag province, along the Turkgucu Village road.
It is 44 km from Tekirdag, 6 km from Corlu, and 1 km from Turkgucu village.
To the south of the area are Tekirdag Province, the Marmara Sea, and Turkgucu village; to the northwest is Edirne; to the north is Saray district; and to the east is Istanbul.
Its size is approximately 340.47 hectares. Within this size, the net industrial area is 255 hectares.
It is bordered by the D-100 State Highway. The planned highway connection is also intended to be provided via this highway.
It is located 5 km from the airport and 45 km from the Tekirdag port.
It is within the jurisdiction of Corlu Municipality.
Its slope is approximately 1-3%. It is in a 3rd degree earthquake zone.
There are 12 wastewater treatment plants belonging to businesses within the Corlu 1 industrial zone. The wastewater from these plants is discharged into the Serefli stream.
Since January 2014, the Directorate of Urban Planning has been established, and all kinds of urban planning activities have commenced. Opening and operating licenses for unsanitary establishments, sanitary establishments, and workplaces, as well as other legal documents and all procedures required by the Building Inspection legislation, are handled by the Organized Industrial Zone.
