The economy of Gelibolu is based on agriculture, tourism, fisheries, and logistics. In particular, the commissioning of the 1915 Canakkale Bridge and the completion of modern logistics investments such as the new ferry terminal in the district have transformed the region into a trade and transit center.

Uzunkopru Chamber of Commerce and Industry has a 130-year historical background. It was established in 1885 as the "Cisr-i Ergene Chamber of Commerce" in the Edirne Province Yearbook.

The Kesan Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established on November 17, 1958, with a Board of Directors elected from within the Assembly, consisting of Mehmet Cuhaci, Serif Yoruk, Ibrahim Aktug, Hayrettin Gursel, Hasan Sapci, Huseyin Yazir, Osman Ergene, Kadir Karasu, Emin Balci and Nedim Mercan and began its activities in the region in accordance with relevant laws.
