The economy of Gelibolu is based on agriculture, tourism, fisheries, and logistics. In particular, the commissioning of the 1915 Canakkale Bridge and the completion of modern logistics investments such as the new ferry terminal in the district have transformed the region into a trade and transit center.

Uzunkopru Chamber of Commerce and Industry has a 130-year historical background. It was established in 1885 as the "Cisr-i Ergene Chamber of Commerce" in the Edirne Province Yearbook.

The Kesan Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established on November 17, 1958, with a Board of Directors elected from within the Assembly, consisting of Mehmet Cuhaci, Serif Yoruk, Ibrahim Aktug, Hayrettin Gursel, Hasan Sapci, Huseyin Yazir, Osman Ergene, Kadir Karasu, Emin Balci and Nedim Mercan and began its activities in the region in accordance with relevant laws.

Ziraat Katilim Bankasi A.S. was established with a capital of TL 675,000,000—fully paid by the Treasury of the Republic of Turkiye—pursuant to the authorization granted by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (Decision No. 6046 dated October 10, 2014, published in the Official Gazette dated October 15, 2014, No. 29146). It obtained its operating license via the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency’s decision dated May 12, 2015 (Decision No. 6302, published in the Official Gazette dated May 14, 2015, No. 29355). Pursuant to the resolution adopted at the Extraordinary General Assembly Meeting held in December 2023, Ziraat Katilim Bankasi's capital was increased to TL 10,350,000,000.

It was established pursuant to the BRSA’s authorization dated February 27, 2015 (No. 6205), published in the Official Gazette dated March 3, 2015 (No. 29284), and acquired legal personality upon its registration in the trade registry on June 25, 2015. It obtained an operating license via the BRSA’s decision dated February 11, 2016 (No. 6729)—published in the Official Gazette dated February 17, 2016 (No. 29627)—and commenced participation banking operations on February 24, 2016.

It was established in 1926 under the name *Emlak ve Eytam Bankasi* (Real Estate and Orphans' Bank)—bearing the signature of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk—with the mission of undertaking the reconstruction of the young Republic of Turkey, supporting construction initiatives, and safeguarding the rights of orphans following the years of the National Struggle. Having changed its name several times over the years to adapt to the country's evolving needs, the Bank continued the journey it began as *Emlak ve Eytam Bankasi* under the names *Turkiye Emlak Kredi Bankasi* and *Turkiye Emlak Bankasi*, respectively. In 2018, a decision was made for it to resume operations as a participation bank; subsequently, *Turkiye Emlak Katilim Bankasi* obtained its operating license in 2019. Today, it continues to serve with a deep-rooted 99-year history and a team of expert bankers.
