Babaeski is a district of Kirklareli province in the Thrace region of the Marmara Region. It is bordered by the central district to the north, Luleburgaz to the east, Pehlivankoy to the southwest, Tekirdag to the south, and Edirne to the west.

The district's lands lie within the Ergene Plain, and highlands and mountains are almost nonexistent. The northern part of the district is ruggedized by extensions of the Yildiz Mountains, whose elevations do not exceed 150 m. These are the main elevations of Babaeski. The Ergene Plain is a fairly wide plain irrigated by the Ergene River. There are also plains of various sizes, ranging in elevation from 50 to 150 m. All of these plains constitute the district's agricultural areas. A portion of the Ergene River irrigates the district's lands. In addition, Kavak Creek (Curtlen Creek) and Seytan Creek are also located. Babaeski is at 41 degrees 25 minutes 30 seconds latitude and 27 degrees 05 minutes 30 seconds longitude.
