Ergene 1 Organized Industrial Zone was established as a Rehabilitation Organized Industrial Zone on July 4, 2012, and after fulfilling the necessary conditions, it was declared an Organized Industrial Zone by the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey on October 11, 2013, thus gaining legal personality.
The Organized Industrial Zone Directorate, having taken over the powers from Misinli Municipality and Tekirdag Provincial Special Administration, handles processes such as building occupancy permits, zoning status, building permits, and mobile phone licenses through a single office system.
Covering a total area of 463 hectares, the Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) ranks 59th in Turkiye and 4th among the 14 OSBs in Tekirdag province.

The Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant was completed and officially accepted in 2022. The provisional operating permit was obtained in 2021, and the environmental permit in 2022. The treated water is discharged into the Marmara Sea via a Deep Sea Discharge Line.
