This free public beach stands out with its miles of fine sand and cool Black Sea waters. Located approximately a 1.5-hour drive from the city center, it is a popular, tranquil nature getaway for camping, caravanning, and paragliding.
Ormanli Beach, located within the boundaries of Ormanli Village, can be an ideal stop for those who want to swim in the sea in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. As its name suggests, Ormanli Village is a village that stands out with its lush greenery and natural beauty. Since Ormanli Beach has the Black Sea on one side and lush green forests on the other, a very pleasant atmosphere is created. One of the most advantageous features of the beaches in Catalca is that they have a calmer atmosphere compared to Kilyos and Sile. However, even Ormanli Beach can be relatively crowded on weekends.
Like every beach on the Black Sea coast, there is a risk that you may not be able to swim in the sea at Ormanli Beach. Because on windy days, the sea can be quite choppy, and swimming may be prohibited for a while depending on the situation. To avoid this risk, we recommend that you definitely check the weather forecast before your trip.
Ormanli Beach is extremely wide and long. There is almost no settlement along the coastline. Entry to the beach is completely free. However, the facilities are limited accordingly. There are a few makeshift facilities around the beach. These facilities offer toilets or showers for an extra fee. Ormanli Village and Ormanli Beach also offer ideal conditions for camping. However, since there is no established campsite, you will need to create your own facilities if you choose to camp. Long-term camping is difficult as there is no source of clean water near Ormanli Beach. Because the beach and the village center are not very close, it might be a better option to obtain your necessities beforehand.
