In line with the vision of the Ergene Basin Protection Action Plan, the "Buyukkaristiran Reclamation Organized Industrial Zone" was granted legal entity status on May 15, 2014, by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkiye, under registration number 297. Following the successful completion of the reclamation conditions, its status became permanent on February 27, 2018, and it was renamed "Buyukkaristiran Organized Industrial Zone".
Located on the D-100 Highway and the D-565 connecting road, the Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) is situated in a strategic location in the heart of Thrace. Spanning approximately 596 hectares, the zone administratively encompasses the borders of two provinces:
- Main Zone: Kirklareli Province, Luleburgaz District, Buyukkaristiran Municipality (31 Industrial Facilities).
- Additional Zone: Tekirdag Province, Muratli District (5 Industrial Facilities).
The zone, which hosts a total of 36 industrial establishments; It houses leading sectors such as textiles, metal, automotive sub-industry, kitchenware and energy production.
The region is at the intersection of land, air, sea and rail transportation networks:
- City Centers: Luleburgaz 20 km, Corlu 25 km, Tekirdag 45 km, Istanbul 120 km.
- Ports: Tekirdag Ports 45 km, Istanbul Port 130 km.
- Airports: Corlu Civil Airport 35 km, Istanbul Ataturk Airport 135 km.
- Railway: Only 4 km to the High-Speed Train Station and Sorting area under construction.
- Customs: Kapikule Border Gate 110 km km.
The Organized Industrial Zone Directorate has eliminated bureaucracy for industrialists by taking over the powers of Buyukkaristiran Municipality, Muratli Municipality, and the Provincial Special Administration. All permit processes such as Building Permit, Occupancy Permit, GSM Permit, and Business Opening are carried out quickly and efficiently from a single point with a "Single Office" approach.
