To the east of the town are the villages of Yenimahalle and Karacaoglan, to the southeast is Demirkapi, to the west is Inece stream, to the southwest is Hazinedar, and to the north is the village of Dokuzhoyuk. Karahalil is situated at the foothill of a small hill, somewhat secluded compared to its surroundings.

The town's vegetation is steppe and barren land. In irrigated areas, poplar and willow trees are planted. Among the notable industrial crops of the town are sunflower, wheat, and sugar beet. Sugar beets are sent to the Alpullu Sugar Factory, and sunflowers are sent to the vegetable oil factories in Babaeski. Sugar, pulp, and molasses are obtained from beets, and oil, pulp, seed shells, and stalks from sunflowers. Stalks and shells are used as fuel.

The main sources of livelihood for the people are agriculture and animal husbandry, both carried out under modern conditions. Mechanization in agriculture is advanced. Almost every household has a tractor and agricultural machinery. Animal husbandry is done in barns during the winter and in open pastures during the summer. Modern milking and irrigation techniques are also used in animal husbandry.
